Playtester agreement
What early testers of CropCorp agree to: keep unreleased builds private, tell us what you think, and nothing else.
Thank you for offering to test CropCorp before it is finished. Early builds are rough, unbalanced and sometimes broken, which is exactly why they are useful. This page is the whole agreement, in plain English. By ticking the box on the application form you agree to it.
1. What stays private
Anything we give you that is not already public on cropcorp.co.uk or our own channels: builds, download links, keys, screenshots, videos, design notes, numbers, and what you learn from playing. Do not share them, post them, stream them or describe them in public until we say a build is open. When we do say so, we will say it in writing in the testers channel on Discord.
2. What we ask of you
Play when you can, and tell us honestly what you thought: what confused you, what bored you, what broke. There is no minimum, no schedule and no obligation. If you stop playing, that is fine; you can leave at any time by telling us, and section 1 still applies to what you saw.
3. Your feedback
We may use your feedback, bug reports and ideas to make the game better, without payment and without needing to credit you, though we like to credit testers and will ask your permission first. Suggesting something does not give you rights in the game.
4. Your data
We store what you put in the application form (name or handle, email, Discord handle, your PC and how much time you have) on our own server, and use it only to run the playtest. We delete it when you ask or when the playtest ends. Builds may send anonymous telemetry about play sessions; they never send your name, files or contact details. See the privacy page.
5. Age
You must be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to take part.
6. The boring bit
Builds are provided as they are, with no promises. This agreement is between you and Web Level Up Ltd (United Kingdom) and is governed by the laws of England and Wales. It is not a job, a partnership or a licence to anything except playing the build we give you.
